Committees

There are many opportunities to become involved in various areas of the Chamber. Below is a list of our volunteer committees. You are encouraged to join one of these committees and join a group of people who work to make a difference in our community.

Committees are a great way to contribute while developing relationships with those who share common interests. Even if you choose not to serve on a committee, we encourage you to become familiar with the activities of the committees and how they can benefit your business both directly and indirectly. Chamber Membership is required for committee service eligibility.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The Economic Development Committee will evaluate issues that have an economic impact on the community, putting forth efforts that will focus on enhancing existing business conditions and attracting new businesses to Randolph County.

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS

The Government Relations committee plans and executes the Legislative luncheon and sends regular updates to the Executive Director regarding important legislation that affects the business community. Committee maintains strong relationships with our local elected officials.

Meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Chamber office at 10:30 AM.

PROGRAM COMMITTEE

The Program Committee will make recommendations for programs and speakers for Discover the Possibilities, Quarterly Chamber Meetings, Women in Leadership Conference, and other educational seminars to help develop programs to advance the future of Randolph County’s workforce.

SPECIAL EVENTS

The Special Events Committee plans, seeks sponsorship, encourages, and promotes various events that improve the social and economic well-being of residents of Randolph County while marketing and networking with various businesses. This committee oversees the following events: the Annual Dinner & Awards, Christmas Parade, Fourth of July Festivities, Holiday Party, and the Sunset Chase 5K Fun Run.

Meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Chamber office at Noon.

WORKFORCE

The Workforce Committee will work to identify workforce issues that affect the business community and provide educational opportunities to help with employment efforts designed to help employers obtain a workforce as well as to help individuals succeed in the workplace. This committee oversees the following events: Pathway to Leadership, Strategies for Success, and Leadership Randolph.

Meets the 2nd Friday of each month at the Chamber office at Noon.
