Through the resources on this site, the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce provides helpful information to not only existing members but to businesses or individuals who are considering opening companies or relocating to the area. The Chamber staff and Board of Directors are working daily to advocate for the interests of business, and to improve communication and create networking possibilities for Chamber members.

AFTER HOURS

Chamber members and their guests are invited to gather informally for refreshments and network-based conversation regarding area commerce and economic growth.

The Business After Hours Event, organized by the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce, is a monthly reception which is hosted by member business volunteers. Appetizers and drinks will be provided by the host, Vintage Restaurant and Wine Bar, as attendees mingle and network with other community business professionals from Randolph County.

The monthly event usually attracts an average of 25+ attendees, including members and guests. Through opportunities like this event, the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce is constantly striving to make Randolph County a better place to live, work, and do business. You won’t want to miss out on a great evening of fun and networking!

Chamber members who are attending will be placed in a drawing for the “Chamber Business of the Month”. A new Chamber business will be selected each month. The “Chamber Business of the Month” will be featured in our Chamber Connection, displayed on the opening page of our website and will receive a “Chamber Business of the Month” Certificate to display in their business! The more Chamber events you attend during the month the more chances to WIN!

PATHWAY TO LEADERSHIP

Effective leadership is fundamental to success. Plan to attend the Pathway to Leadership on October 10, 17, 24, and November 7 for a dynamic seminar with four modules that will teach you valuable skills for your success. Each session will have networking and leadership exercises to help you develop both personally and professionally. Turn theory into practice, create opportunities, and make connections that will last far beyond this seminar.

DEVELOP THE POSSIBILITIES WITH CHAMBER NETWORKING

Chamber Monthly Networking events are designed specifically for our members, who want to expand their network of business contacts, generate new business leads, and learn the most effective strategies for networking. Each attendee will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the group and share a little about their business. BUSINESS OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to our September Chamber Business of the Month! Davis Medical Center is a nonprofit, multispecialty medical center that integrates medical and hospital care with population health management and preventive health education. It is the largest rural, community hospital in the Potomac Highlands region, serving Randolph, Tucker, Barbour, Upshur, Pocahontas, and Webster Counties. Its mission is to bring better health to the lives of its patients and communities through disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

A busy emergency department serves a population of nearly 95,000 and logs more than 30,000 visits annually. For a hospital its size, DMC provides a vast number of medical specialties including 24/7 surgical and orthopedic specialty coverage. DMC recently entered into partnerships with WVU Medicine to bring state-of-the-art heart and vascular and enhanced cancer care service to the local population.”

“Big changes are coming to the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce, as leaders have announced both a new executive director and a location change.Wendy Hill, of Parkersburg, recently was hired to lead the organization, bringing nearly 20 years of valuable experience to her new position. Her office and the Chamber’s new business location will be at the Randolph County Development Authority and Wood Technology Center building at 10 Eleventh St. in Elkins.”
